Profile – Nanny Association
Nanny Association is an (inter)national agency that mediates between parents seeking home care and nanny's that are willing to provide this care. Nannies are employed by the clients/parents and work according to the Nanny Association’s ‘terms and conditions of employment for household staff’. Once a match has been made, the Nanny Association focuses on the continuation of the care relationship between client and nanny.
Nanny Association has been part of the Netwerk Kinderopvang (Network Childcare) since November 2003. Netwerk Kinderopvang is also the holding of childcare organisations Gastouderbureau Nederland (Host parent agency Netherlands) and De Gouvernante (The Governance). By combining the strengths of three independent labels, we are able to offer parents flexible solutions for care in the home or, if required, childcare by a host family. Nanny Association has branches and offices in Amsterdam, The Hague and Rijen(headquarters).
Client – for the client
What are you requirements?
If you require care in the home, contact the Nanny Association head office in Rijen, telephone (0161) 244 315. Let us know exactly what your childcare needs are and when you wish care to commence. We are also happy to receive supplementary information on matters such as possibilities of compensation by employers, whether you run your own business, your income situation for tax relief purposes, and, for example, your childcare situation until now.
What can we offer?
With the help of this information, we can offer you expert advice and make you a firm offer concerning possibilities via the Nanny Association. We may put you in touch with our associates De Gouvernante (The Governance) or Gastouderbureau Nederland (Host parent office Netherlands), should your care needs require. Before we visit you at home, you will receive our proposal, our terms and conditions and a service contract. This contract outlines agreements regarding what we are able to do for you and the conditions under which we offer our services. In this way we are able to deal with your care request effectively, efficiently and promptly.
What’s next?
Once the initial agreements have been made on the basis of the service contract, we will visit you at home to discuss your care needs in greater detail. This enables us to pinpoint the best, or best possible, match for you.
Once your nanny has been found, selected, and screened, we will introduce you to the nanny, draw up the required contracts and make firm agreements regarding the nanny’s date of commencement and probation period.
Terms and conditions of employment
In order to match you with good, professional and flexible nanny's, and to attach the nanny's to parents for a longer term, the Nanny Association has developed a set of ’terms and conditions for household staff’. These terms and conditions set and regulate important and clear terms of employment between parents/clients and nanny's. In this way, both parties are aware in advance of the circumstances and terms which apply to the provision of care. There are no unpleasant surprises for parents or nanny's, and both know where they stand before and during their ‘care relationship’.
Continuous service
Once a nanny has been placed with parents, our services focus on the continuation and ongoing guidance of the care relationship between parents and nanny. Your consultant is in regular contact with both you and the nanny regarding progress. As you are the nanny’s employer, we will support you in the area of employment and administration. To this end, we employ an employment lawyer and a personnel officer. Furthermore, we will attend and report on periodic performance and assessment interviews with your nanny.
‘Meetings’
We can also assist you regarding details of the care, and will periodically inform your nanny of developments in this area in a newsletter. Network Childcare employs an educationalist who is always on standby to provide care support. Furthermore, we will invite your nanny for formal and informal meetings; the place to be for exchanging ideas, experiences, expertise and knowledge among nanny's, governesses, and host parents attached to the Nanny Association, De Gouvernante and Gastouderbureau Nederland respectively.
Replacements and back-ups
Should your nanny be unable to work due to illness or other circumstances, it is quite likely that we will be able to provide a replacement or back-up quickly thanks to our extensive network. In the unlikely event of your nanny dropping out definitely, we will arrange a new, suitable nanny. In a nutshell, we take care!
